Mechanical engineering is the study of mechanics, how they work, and
design. Students that complete a mechanical engineering degree are likely
to be in demand in the work force. Most commonly, those that plan to work
in industrial engineering fields, in power plants, in design corporations
or organization, in corporate design or in chemical plants will need this
degree under their belt. If you plan to enroll in this program, you will
work with designing and development as well as testing of various mechanical
products and tools. Later, these will move into the industrial field to
be used readily.
The mechanical engineering student will need math, science, biology
and physics. In addition, they will learn fluid mechanics, a variety of
technology courses, technical writing as well as computer related courses.
In addition, if you continue on with your education you will qualify for
managerial positions in this field as well.
